Our U12 team finished the Istanbul Development Tournament as champions.
After topping their group with three wins, the team reached the final by beating their semi-final opponents 2-0, then lifted the trophy with a 3-1 victory in the final.
Our side scored 11 goals across the tournament and conceded only 2. Two of our athletes were named in the tournament team of the competition.
Head coach Mehmet Kaya said: "The quality of the play pleased us far more than the result. They were able to apply on the pitch the positional principles we work on in training. That is the real gain."
